We're a family-style Italian restaurant known for our value-for-money, tasty food, friendly service and lively atmosphere. Never leave hungry
Fat Angelo's are one of those restaurants you will never have to worry about leaving hungry. They have excellent promotions, gives good size portions and the food is very good (Vodka Penne is recommended!).
An added bonus is the location, right on Elgin street and you can see when/how the rest of Elgin street wakes up every evening (sometime afternoon).
stuff till you spew
cheap cheap cheap and tacky terrible food. this is the sort of stuff that made america fat. i don't mean cheap in the price either, i am an expat who would much rather a $30 bowl of noodles than $150 spare ribs with cheap ingredients and fatty meat. ok i warrant it may be good for young families but i mean, aside from that the decor is cheesy and the food is awful.

Got buy one get one free last night. Not the best Italian food ever but biiiiiiiig portions and left stuffed!
Eat in - don't go for take away.
I was in a hurry today and decided to get a sandwich and salad to go - what a mistake! The sandwich was okay, but it came with limp and cold fries and the salad (a few leaves of lettuce and some anemic tomatoes) had no dressing. What a disappointment.

quite like it
I like pretentious restaurants with their miniature portions, inordinate pricing and uber-chic decor as much as the next superficial ex-pat, but this place is pleasing on a level that reminds me of my roots. The fact that I'm not Italian smacks of how unauthentic it may be.. but its tasty, affordable and plentiful nosh.

I agree that they are really average about the food.
After pepporoni closed down at Soho. Fat Angelo's is the largest medium price range restaurant there.

This is dumbed down 'Italian' food aimed at a local market, devoid of any real quality, but is good value for money.
Tiramisu is ever the best
Caesar Salad - the vegetable is fresh and crunchy
Snow Crab with Angel Hair - the sauce is nice, with many crab in it and Angel Hair is right done, will not overcook.
Tiramisu is ever the best!!! I can find a perfect mix of cheeze, sweet and wine. All the ingredients are balance in proportion to create an excellent taste.

True family restaurant
Good atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonably priced kids menu, plus activities for children - it all makes Fat Angelo kid's favourite restaurant. My daughter and her friends really love it !

Enjoyed the food and service there and will go there from time to time.

Passed this place and thought to give it a try. The food was ok for the price but nothing really outstanding. You do get some cheap offers from time to time.
