I found the Set Lunch great value!
KaeHK you're right, the coffee @ Coast is amazing! I have been dropping in nearly every afternoon for my latte now for the past 2 weeks and I have been promised that they will soon have a 'coffee card'! Can't wait!
I also had lunch there with some friends from work last week and we all loved it. I went for the mini pork and kangaroo pies which were awesome, and then had the grilled salmon for my main, which was cooked perfectly.
After we all had so much food, we needed our coffees just to keep us awake back in the office!
Since last week i think just about everyone in my office has been after we have been talking about it, and they have all enjoyed it! Can't wait to go back.
Set lunch not worth the $138
I think their 3 course set lunch is quite expensive compared to the $68-88 options available nearby for 4 courses! But I thought it might be something special so gave it a try.
I went quite late for lunch, so it wasn't crowded and ordered the french onion soup for starters and the fish of the day - tuna steak, medium rare. It took 10mins for the soup to come and it lacked flavour and there was no cheese! The tuna wasn't very impressive either, it came well done and wasn't seasoned. More of the fruity sauce would have helped. The accompaning grilled eggplant and courgette were pleasant enough.
I left feeling pretty unsatisfied, definitely not worth $138. The only thing I enjoyed was the coffee!
