Bit disappointed
I'm a regular here but went back last night and I was a bit disappointed. The deep-fried lamb is usually amazing but it was just toooooo fried, you could hardly chew it! And the sesame pockets were a bit burnt! Hope they pull it back as this is usually my favourite Chinese in HK.

I don't really know what else to say, the food was absolutely delicious, the place is lovely and quaint, the wait-staff are friendly and outgoing and the Harbin beer washes the meal down perfectly.
One thing which must be said though the signature lamb is AMAZING! One of the most delicious things I've eaten in my life. Not to be missed.

On the 8th day, God created Bistro Manchu's signature lamb dish.
Time and time again I'm blown away by this quaint little Manchurian restaurant.
The waiting staff are fiendishly attentive without ever feeling remotely intrusive, the ambiance is relaxing and the menu has a plethora of gems.
Certainly a restaurant suited for those who like to share dishes, the signature lamb [which i order EVERY time i visit manchu] comes in two sizes, the smaller of the two easily satisfying a couple when combined with a few extras, the larger [which I'm yet to order] is only recommended to tables of four or above.
I've tried to order the large twice... on both occasions the conscientious waiter gently poked me into the direction of the small size. Eyes. Bigger. Belly. Smaller.
Manchu is a tremendously satisfying dining experience. Go. Feast. Breathe. Wallow in lamb fueled happiness.
